On Sunday, August 10, 1997, Children’s Day, the Talentlón para la Vida on the Costanera Sur was held.
A crowd of more than 22,000 participants approached the Lola Mora monument, in front of the Ecological Reserve, where this mega-event was held, to participate in a walk for the whole family, supporting Buenos Aires as the venue for the 2004 Olympic Games.
Participants were able to access freely and for free, and participate in multiple competitions, with prizes such as televisions, radio recorders, watches and chocolates, among many others.
They also enjoyed the many attractions and entertainment, provided by acrobats, jugglers, clowns, flamethrowers, stilts, bike acrobatics, murgas, dolls, gymnastics classes, aerobics demonstrations, an ecological art contest for children, mimes, puppets, magicians , etc.
The faces of the children and the congratulations of the participating schools were the best gift of Talentos para la Vida on Children’s Day.
